The LSEBN is one of four clinical networks for specialised burn care in England and Wales. Each year, we receive referrals for around 9,000 adults and children, with many going-on to receive specialised in-patient care. The commissioning arrangements for specialised burn care is managed by NHS England. The LSEBN covers a large geographical area and falls across three NHS England Regions.
Each NHS region is responsible for healthcare commissioning and delivery across their area, and they provide professional leadership for the following functions: finance, nursing, medical, specialised commissioning, patients and information, human resources and organisational development, and assurance and delivery.
